1. Local document processing
For tools identified as local-capable, the selected document is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to PDFsy merely to perform that operation.
Some features can depend on a server, browser-provided AI capability or external service. When a workflow requires transmission outside the local browser process, PDFsy should identify that boundary before the relevant data is sent.
2. Temporary browser storage
A selected PDF and page-rotation state can be stored temporarily in this browser’s IndexedDB for up to one hour so a local workspace can move between tools or recover after a refresh.
Expired copies are removed when PDFsy next runs. A browser cannot perform cleanup while the site is closed. Successful export or “Close & clear” can remove workspace data earlier. This local storage is not separately encrypted by PDFsy, so use a trusted device for sensitive documents.
3. Product and operational analytics
PDFsy records allow-listed operational events such as page type, tool lifecycle, coarse device categories, performance information and errors needed to understand reliability and usage.
The analytics contract excludes document text, OCR text, filenames, passwords, signatures and raw document contents.
4. Contact Us submissions
When you use Contact Us, we store the name, email address, topic and message you submit, together with the submission time, workflow status and a one-way hash derived from the request IP address for abuse prevention. We do not store the raw IP address in the contact-submission record.
Contact submissions are intended to be retained for up to 365 days and are then eligible for automated deletion. Do not submit passwords, private keys, payment details, confidential document contents or the document itself.
5. Ordinary web requests and security logs
Like other websites, requests for pages and assets reach hosting and security infrastructure. Network metadata such as IP address, request path, timestamp and user-agent information may be processed temporarily for delivery, rate limiting, abuse prevention and security logging.
Retention of infrastructure logs depends on the active hosting and security configuration and should be limited to what is needed for operations and security.
6. Sharing and selling of personal information
PDFsy does not sell the contents of your documents or Contact Us messages. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers only as needed to operate, secure and maintain the service, or disclosed when required by law.
7. Your choices and requests
You can clear local PDFsy workspace data from this site and can use browser controls to remove cookies or local storage.
For questions or requests concerning personal information submitted through Contact Us, send a privacy request and include the contact reference if you have one. We may need to verify that the request relates to you before acting on it.
8. Security, children and policy updates
PDFsy uses technical and organizational controls intended to protect the service, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
PDFsy is a general document utility and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through Contact Us, contact us so the request can be reviewed.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version.
